27 October 2015

Technology can be an invaluable ally to pilgrims, but when it is an Intel processor based device, a tablet or smartphone can also stay powered longer. The processor maker recommends pilgrims to make full use of their Intel-based Android and Windows Phone devices as well as complementing apps to ease their stay in Makkah.

From communicating with loved ones at home to just keeping tabs on your whereabouts, there are many apps that has been designed to help pilgrims. Intel suggests 'Hajj & Umrah', an app available at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nanosoft.hajjandumrah&... for a complete set of information and guidelines to perform all necessary acts during Hajj and Umrah.

Windows Phone users may opt for ‘Hajj and Umrah’ (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/apps/hajj-and-umrah/9wzdncrfj8k2), which includes maps and directions of significant places in Makkah and Madinah. Users may also bookmark the location of their accomodation to ease tracking back.
