Once a hub for railway engineering works in the 1900s, Sentul has now transformed into a thriving township blending local culture and newer developments, catering to residents and newcomers alike. Lau Heong Seafood Restaurant
Spanning over four decades in Sentul, this highly popular tai chow place has its seafood sourced from the owner’s hometown in Perak.
Star dishes include the curry fish head, asam sotong and prawns, butter crab and fried chicken wings. Call ahead of time and make a reservation to avoid waiting in line with the constant stream of customers.

Sentul Curry House
A regular in Sentul since the ’70s, this restaurant offers Southern Indian cuisine with an impressive lineup of dishes. They are available in trays by the counter in mixed rice fashion, featuring various curries and stir-fried vegetables.
Take your pick of white rice or biryani and enjoy with mutton curry, sambal sotong or crab cutlet. Top it off with a crispy appam and masala tea.

Ani Sentul Fine Food
This unassuming warung on the street corner might be easy to miss, but it holds many flavourful surprises with breakfast and lunch options. Always fresh from the kitchen, the fare of fried fish, tempeh, curry chicken, vegetables and ulam are tasty and affordable.
Regular patrons look forward to nasi ayam that comes with delicious soup, available only on Fridays.

Eat x Dignity
A social enterprise under Dignity for Children Foundation and operating with the support of The BIG Group and Berjaya Cares Foundation, Eat x Dignity (formerly known as Project B) is where you can dine for a good cause. As part of Dignity for Children’s mission of providing underprivileged children with access to education and work experience opportunities, the staff at Project B consists mostly of students from nearby Sentul schools, who are given vocational training in running a restaurant.
The menu is a mix of rice dishes, pasta, burgers and more. When in doubt, go for the fried chicken. All proceeds go towards Dignity for Children Foundation.

For a hearty Northern Indian meal, head to this cosy family-run restaurant. Top dishes include the kadai paneer and sarron ka saag (mustard green curry) for vegetarians, and mutton vindaloo and butter chicken for the meat eaters.
Wash them down with the restaurant’s homemade lassi or Punjabi tea, and have the kulfi (Indian ice cream) for dessert.

Sentul Ah Yap Hokkien Mee
What started off as a tiny stall in 1960 now has several restaurant branches, but you would want to visit its original Sentul outlet (now a full fledge restaurant complete with air conditioning) for a plate of tasty Hokkien mee cooked over a charcoal fire.
Other dishes include fried pak ko, glass noodles and lou shu fun. The menu also has a variety of meat, vegetable and egg dishes to choose from.
