Chinatown: Old vs New

Chinatown in Kuala Lumpur spreads across several streets - namely Jalan Petaling and Jalan Sultan - and alleys. Home to hawkers selling a variety of items, you’ll find accessories, gadgets, fresh flowers and some of the best local food around. Although the area is arguably touristy, the past few years have seen locals making their way out to Chinatown again, thanks to a mushrooming of hip cafes, event spaces, art galleries and secret bars. We take a stroll around Chinatown to see how its old and new co-exist.
