Continuing our photo series on signboards and store facades, we visit Kota Kinabalu, Sabah to document what the town has to offer.

Kota Kinabalu or KK, Sabah’s state capital, is one of the major industrial and commercial centres of East Malaysia. It’s also said to be one of Malaysia’s fastest growing cities. Amidst rapid development and swanky shopping malls, old shops and businesses still dot parts of the coastal city. Here, we take a look at the decades-old shop fronts that give Kota Kinabalu its old-world charm.
