The Titiwangsa mountain range stretches 480 kilometres north to south and forms the backbone of peninsula Malaysia. The highest peaks are Gunung Tahan (2,187 metres) in located in Pahang and followed by Gunung Korbu in Perak.

The highest peak in Malaysia, however, is Gunung Kinabalu (4,095 metres), in Sabah. Apart from these three well-known peaks, Gunung Jerai and Bukit Broga are also popular destinations for hikers and climbers alike.
